STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

• What really makes this card "pop" is the use of Stampin' Dimensionals for the Whisper White layer and the bee!
• I cropped an oval frame using two sizes (the second and third smallest) of the Stampin' Up! Oval Framelits and Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper.

• Another Strip of Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper lines the left side of the card.

• Both the bee and sentiment (Happy Day stamp set) were heat embossed with Early Espresso Stampin' Emboss Powder.  I love the shiny, raised result.

A 4th of July Salute to Maggie Mata

Today's card and post are a heartfelt tribute to a member of my Stampin' Pretty Pals Community, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Maggie Mata.  Maggie is currently serving in the U.S. military in Kyrgyzstan.  Her commitment and bravery are the essence of what the 4th of July means to me.

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

• Stellar!  I inked up the Simply Stars stamp set from the new Stampin' Up! 2013-2014 Annual Catalog.   The stars were easy to snip with Paper Snips (although I'm going to keep wishing for star framelits) and stand proudly at attention when popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

• Those sweet little Cherry Cobbler flagged ends are so easy to crop with the Stampin' Up! Bitty Banners Framelits and my Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine!

• Love that sweet little brad on the star?  It's a Cherry Cobbler Candy Dot adhered to a Candy Dot coordinating brad base.  Watch my 1 Minute to WOW! Video:  Meet Candy Dots for a full introduction!
